„Medicine and crime“ is the largest of three permanent exhibitions at the museum and Sachsenhausen National Memorial. Over 1000 exhibits depict how cruel life was at the concentration camp and inform about different topics like minimal medical care and medical experiments with concentration camp inmates as well as the murder of sick patients. The award-winning design concept takes into consideration that the exhibition is located in the last original preserved prisoner barracks of their kind and therefore must be treated as an exhibit theirselves.
